Charges are often denoted by the letter Q, and so the invariance of the charge corresponds to the vanishing commutator = 0 being the Littlewood–Richardson coefficients. Charges correspond to the time-invariant generators of a symmetry group, and specifically, to the generators that commute with the Hamiltonian. In physics, a charge is any of many different quantities, such as the electric charge in electromagnetism or the color charge in quantum chromodynamics. [Goodenough is easier to remember than the actual inventor Akshaya Padhi - a membr of Goodenough's research team). This article needs additional citations for verification. This lead to a reduction in available capacity die to soace being taken by the structure, and other effects lead to a reduction in maximum terminal voltage BUT gave us the Goodenough (great name) battery aka liFePo4 with about 60%+ the capacity and 15% less terminal voltage and vastly more longevity and more robust electrical characteristics. One attempt to improve this involved making a structure which remained in place when the lithium plated in and out giving mechanical stability. Such issues are a significant factor in establishing LiIon cycle lifetimes. (see above)Ī major factor in lithium Ion lifetime and rate problems is the significant change in mechanical volume as Lithium metal gets added to or taken away from portions of the cell. I've seen apparently standard LiIon cells with 2C charge ratings but the norm is 1C max. If the manufacturer says it is so it indeed may be. There are new lithium based chemistries and new mechanical arrangements which allow lithium based cells to be charged at faster rates. Figure 1 shows the voltage and current signature as lithium-ion passes through the stages for constant current and topping charge More important is the safety concern if charging beyond 4.20V/cell. Higher voltages could increase the capacity, but the resulting cell oxidation would reduce service life. Most cells charge to 4.20V/cell with a tolerance of +/–50mV/cell. Li-ion is a “clean” system and only takes what it can absorb. The so-called miracle charger that promises to prolong battery life and methods that pump extra capacity into the cell do not exist here. While lead acid offers some flexibility in terms of voltage cut‑off, manufacturers of Li‑ion cells are very strict on the correct setting because Li-ion cannot accept overcharge. The difference lies in a higher voltage per cell, tighter voltage tolerance and the absence of trickle or float charge at full charge. The Li‑ion charger is a voltage-limiting device that is similar to the lead acid system. Text from there - note comments on "miracle chargers". Here's a better than usual comment on LiIon charging.īattery University - Charging Lithium Ion Batteries So some chargers may stop at say I=33% of max and take 2 hours all up, and others may stop at 10% of Imax and take 4 hours - and all may be close to identical in general principles.ĭue to the slow decreasing-current tail being an essential part of a truly full charge, doubling the Imax to say 2C will only make charging somewhat faster due to long decreasing-current tail. To get maximum possible capacity the current must be allowed to fall to a low % of max so can take much longer than the time taken to put in the first 80% or so. Some chargers will terminate charging at say 33% of full current, or 25% or 20% or 10%. This is the optimum storage point for long life.Ĭurrent will now ramp down towards zero in a non linear fashion under battery chemistry control. SOME fast chargers declare charging complete here- so some may seem very fast without doing anything clever except stopping early. Under constant current ramp up Vmax is reached at about 66% to 85% of full capacity - probably typically around 80%? At 1C 80% of capacity is reached in 80% of 1 hour = 48 minutes. This voltage is maintained and the battery draws decreasing current under its own "control" until a charge termination decision is made. This current is applied until Vmax is reached - typically 4.1 or 4.2 V. The manufacturer specified maximum charge current is C/1 (= 1A per Ah of capacity) but some specify C/2, a few 2C, and some specialist cells may allow much higher charge rates. This table from the battery university reference below provides excellent comment on LiIon charging times. Faster may be possible and may be "safe" but all guarantees are off and shorter life or instantaneously very short life are definite options.Īdded last. LiIon batteries can be safely (enough) charged at the rate advised by their manufacturers.

In the 1996 live action film, they had a different problem - too many dogs. No one noticed so it's all good in the spotty hood. It would have more than doubled the budget - not to mention the production length - to draw each puppy itself so instead Disney decided to focus on the main characters and use the same animations of the same few dogs in background shots, occasionally changing their size and the direction they were moving in. In the 1961 animation, there are only a handful of dogs on a loop for the background scenes. There was also more than 17000 pieces of merchandise created for the film which at the time was more than any other film. The sequel 102 Dalmatians earned $183m after its budget of $85m in 2000. The 1961 animation was the most successful at the box office, making an impressive $215m, while the live action remake took $136m in 1996. One Hundred and One Dalmatians was the first ever Disney animation to be set in a contemporary setting, opening up a whole new world for the movie makers. Strange how Disney didn't use that as basis for the sequel instead, isn't it? The story saw every human on earth plunged into a deep sleep while an intergalactic dog god came to earth to save all the canines from the threat of nuclear war and owner abuse. Novelist Dodie Smith produced the second book in the series - The Starlight Brigade - at the request of Walt Disney who kept asking her for more stories, though he probably wished he hadn't bothered after. While the movie sequel was based on an original story, the real sequel for the book was an altogether different adventure. And there's even a Dalmatian who doesn't have any spots yet - aww! The book sequel saw the Dalmatians in space - seriously Seemingly having mended her nefarious ways after three years of prison and therapy, Cruella re-enters the world as a changed woman - or so she wants everyone to think - in 102 Dalmatians. There was a movie sequel featuring Cruella DeVil working in a dogs homeĪpparently wanting to prove that a Dalmatian hunter never changers her spots, Glenn Close returned to play the evil fur-lover in a sequel to the 1996 live action adventure. For the scenes with the puppies, where they needed to lick his face, some lucky crew member had to rub raw hotdogs on the actor's face.įor some reason Jeff chose not to return for the sequel. Jeff Daniels - now best known for appearing on HBO's The Newsroom - had to suffer in a very special way to get the dogs to like him. If you want a dog to like you then you need to do this Yeah, it's a lot.Īs for the 1996 live action remake - ain't nobody got time for that. It basically breaks down to Pongo having 72 spots, Perdita having 68 and each of the 99 puppies having 32 each and then adding up how many were on show for every single frame. To be precise there are 6,469,952 in every frame of film, which is slightly obscene. In the 1961 animated original there are a lot of spots on the adorable dogs. How many spots are there on all the Dalmatians in the animated movie? So here's some trivia about the adventures of those 101 Dalmatians. There have been video games, musicals, television series and sequels for the original movie because 101 Dalmatians just isn't enough. The original animated Walt Disney Film One Hundred and One Dalmatians was released in 1961, then the live action adventure starring Glenn Close as Cruella DeVil followed in 1996 and brought with it a host of other dotty dog related goodness. Everyone's going dotty for Disney's 101 Dalmatians.īased on Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians, the story sparked a host of adaptations and adventures for the spotty dogs. For me, I have enough stuff that smells like ths in my collection, and nobody really does this stuff better for any amount of money than Amyris Homme by Maison Francis Kurkdjian (2012), the scent that Invictus arguably copied. Therefore, if you found Y EdP just a bit too sweet or sticky, but otherwise enjoy the vibe, then you may actually want to pick this up since it's about $10 cheaper anyway. Best use is pretty much whenever, as it's literally made for work-at-home white collar folk.Īwaken fails to really be anything more than an upscale clone of sorts, but the saving grace is it sits price-wise between what it plagiarizes and something like Y Eau de Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent (2018). Performance is good and projection also is decent, and with eau de parfum concentration, I'd expect no less. The base is obviously ambroxan with touches of norlimbanol "incense", but it it handled deftly like Bleu de Chanel (2010), rather than laid thick. From there, things get a bit drier and woodier, with clary sage and nagarmotha mixed down into patchouli, cedarwood, and pine. I can tell Tumi wanted to go into a slightly higher-quality direction materials-wise from the others, as the scent opens with a more-judicious balancing of that sweet ethyl maltol grapefruit and bergamot shower gel, almost copying a bit of what Jeremy Fragrance's brand did with Fragrance One: Office for Men (2019). In execution, this ends up being more or less another take on the DNA of Gucci Guilty pour Homme (2011), Paco Rabanne Invictus (2013), and Y by Yves Saint Laurent (2017). So the idea behind Awaken, as noted by the time given in the name itself, is to be something fresh to help you revitalize. Oh for joy, right? In any case, what Tumi has presented here isn't totally awful, it just doesn't really justify its purpose much either, like the Tumi brand. The brand proposes wearing their scents morning, noon, and night, to get that full "Tumi" experience of traveling abroad without ever leaving your luxury condo. And as we started exploring what those needs were for our customers and how they were living those lives, we realized that having a scent was really important to them." In other words, the brand isn't selling enough overpriced luggage anymore so they have transitioned into a "lifestyle brand", like so many superfluous luxury entities without a true puprose other than to fleece the ignorant rich, and I guess a fragrance is a good of a place to start as any. The way I look at it, having fragrance out is a huge win for us.Awaken by Tumi (2020) Is a fragrance from the unlikely source of a luxury luggage brand, but in the brand's own words: "Now, people are spending time working from home, and their normal cadence has changed. For us what has always been key here is understanding our customers and what new needs they have in this new world and how do we best accommodate those elements. “We think about the sustainability side and create a better world for the future. “Tumi has always been grounded in having a long product life cycle of 15 to 20 years,” he said. He also didn’t reveal upcoming launches for 2020, but said sustainability continues to be a main focus and driver for the company. It will also expand globally in the near future. Sanz did not reveal sales numbers during COVID-19 or sales expectations for the fragrance, but said the new scents received positive responses over the two weeks of pre-order. We didn’t want to come to a complete standstill.” People are still working and moving but it shifted. “It’s important for us to continue delivering products to our customers. “I don’t think anyone has been unscathed by this global pandemic, even the people that had tremendous growth had been affected,” he said. Travel had been cut back tremendously this year due to COVID-19, and according to Sanz, travel will look entirely different in the near future. The launch was always slated to launch in August despite the pandemic. He gave an example of taking an overnight flight to Milan and heading straight to a meeting or presentation and needing the scent to last the trip. He said one of the challenges in creating the fragrances was international travel. Sanz said Awaken and Unwind were in development for 12 months.
If your PostgreSQL instance already has sysadmin (privileged) and public (unprivileged) user roles, skip this step. You will need this user to set up a secure connection to the restored Creatio database using PostgreSQL authentication. This must be done while logged into the PostgreSQL user account. This user will restore the Creatio database from a backup file and assign access permissions.Ī user with the “ public” role, whose permissions are limited. The bare-bones way to start the server manually is just to invoke postgres directly, specifying the location of the data directory with the -D option, for example: postgres -D /usr/local/pgsql/data which will leave the server running in the foreground. We recommend to create two database users in PostgreSQL:Ī user with the “ sysadmin” role, who has maximum access privileges on the database server level. By default, no such user will be available. If you plan to use a fresh installation of PostgreSQL, you need to create a user that can log in to the database using a password and has sufficient privileges to create and update a database. Create PostgreSQL userĪ fresh installation of PostgreSQL is not ready for deploying Creatio immediately. Even more of the same.Note. This installation as well gave me the same error on trying to create a new database. It hung up on \connect for some reason but that was easy to manually get around. Update: I just reinstalled the homebrew version and tried to import my alternative postgres.app export. How can I fix this? Obviously I need to be able to make new databases. Per the error message: Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket '/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432' You need to do something like: psql -p 5432 -h 127.0.0. I'm not sure how to find out what the difference is between these two slightly different versions, which are essentially the same thing. 1 Answer Sorted by: 1 The problem is: psql -p 5432 is saying connect to local socket on Linux machine. I'm thinking I could make a backup and try to fix this by deleting both versions, then going back to homebrew to start again with Postgres 12. The commands in this section should be run as the postgres Linux user. In this example, we’ll modify the examplerole user so that it can create new databases.
